BC Biomedical New Westminster Laboratory Grand Re-Opening

BC Biomedical Laboratories Ltd. is pleased to announce the grand re-opening of its New Westminster Patient Service Centre, located at 625 – 5th Avenue.
Known as BC Biomedical’s ‘first’ lab, this location has undergone extensive renovations in order to better serve the patients of the community.
The completion of these renovations marks an exciting new chapter for what is already an historic location.
BC Biomedical was originally founded as the Westminster Physicians Lab in 1958 and was located at 403 – 6th Street in New Westminster. A growing medical practice, Westminster Physicians Lab soon needed more space to accommodate the increasing demand for specimen collection and testing in the community, and moved to its current location on 5th Avenue in 1967.
The practice acquired Associated Clinical Laboratories in the mid-1970s and emerged as one organization, BC Biomedical Laboratories. With this expansion, the organization moved its specimen testing to a new facility on Edmonds Street in Burnaby, operating the original New Westminster location as a Patient Service Centre for specimen collection.
Today, BC Biomedical serves 2 million patients per year at 45 Patient Service Centres across the Lower Mainland and operates a state-of-the-art central testing facility in Surrey.
BC Biomedical is proud of its roots in the local community and celebrates over 50 years of providing diagnostic healthcare of the highest calibre for patients of British Columbia.

Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday: 7am - 2:00pm
