Medical Laboratory Assistant

Our Medical Laboratory Assistants represent the "face" of BC Biomedical to more than 2 million patients we serve annually.

Our Medical Laboratory Assistants are engaged in the collection and preparation of blood and other specimens from patients, and the performance of electrocardiograms. They also perform frontline customer service duties, such as greeting the patient and data entry of patient information.

To apply for a Medical Laboratory Assistant position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized and BCSLS approved Medical Laboratory Assistant training program or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service and team skills
• Accurate keyboarding speed of 40 wpm
• Flexibility in working various shifts from 0600-1830, Monday to Sunday
